Improvements in filterable drop-down lists

  • Searching for settings files or property files in the drop-down lists in the property pane and in several dialogs has now been improved: typing anything that matches any part of the file name is considered as a search match.

    TTSD-67211, TTSD-67294, TTSD-67221, TTSD-67240

  • The filterable drop-down lists in the property pane and in several dialogs now allow you to select an item with the Enter key if there is only one item available in the list.

New controls for setting color and type of section lines and own hidden lines in pour objects

You can now control the color and type of section lines and own hidden lines also in pour objects using the new settings, Section lines and Own hidden lines, in the Pour object properties in the property pane.

Previously, you could only modify the color and type of visible lines and hidden lines in pour objects. New controls for these line types were first introduced in Tekla Structures 2025 for parts and neighbor parts.

New dimensioning type in automatic view dimensioning - Center of gravity dimensions

Tekla Structures 2025 SP2 introduces a new rule-based dimensioning type, Center of gravity dimensions, in the view-specific dimensioning. Now you can create dimensions indicating the center of gravity automatically in your fabrication drawings.

Earlier, you could only add COG dimensions manually or using a Tekla Warehouse extension.

New in AI Cloud Fabrication drawings (Preview)

  • Improvements in the Creation review dialog

    • New column for selecting a template or settings: A new column Templates/Settings has been added to the Creation review dialog, allowing you to select a template or its settings file for drawing creation. This provides greater flexibility and control over the drawing creation process.

Previously, there was only one column for selecting the library, and the drawing creation was done using the best matching template or its settings file in the selected library.

A notification now appears while the service searches for the best matching template or settings file.

The best matching template or its settings file is automatically selected, but you can also manually select another option.

      TTSD-69701, TTSD-70417

    • Drawing template preview: A new template preview icon appears next to the best matching template in the Creation review dialog. Hovering over the icon displays a preview of the drawing template. This preview helps you evaluate which suggested drawing template best suits your needs. Clicking the icon opens the snapshot of the template drawing in the Drawing library properties dialog.

      TTSD-69709, TTSD-69412

    • Changes in the Create column: In the Create column, a checkbox is available for selecting the objects for which you want to create drawings. The checkbox is disabled if drawing creation is not possible for an object. Now, while the service searches for the best matching library and the best matching template or settings file, the checkbox is replaced by a spinning icon to indicate background processing. The checkbox reappears when the best matches are found or if you manually select the library or the template or settings file before the search is finished.

      TTSD-69917

    • Improved Create button functionality: The Create button was previously always enabled, even when objects were being selected or when the associated library, template, or settings were still loading. This could lead to undesired selections and errors. Now, the Create button is disabled until all items that have a creation checkbox have a valid target library and template or settings file selected.

      TTSD-69705, TTSD-69917

    • Progress bar display: Previously, two progress bars were displayed during the creation of drawings, which could be confusing and inconsistent with the local fabrication drawings functionality. Now, a single progress bar is shown, providing a clear and consistent indication of progress during the drawing creation process, aligning with the local fabrication drawings functionality for better user clarity.

      TTSD-69705

    • Submit feedback: The Submit feedback button, introduced earlier in the Collections dialog, is now also available in the Creation review dialog. Clicking this button opens a survey in your default browser, using the current Tekla Structures language. Additionally, remember that we have a dedicated platform for learning and involvement in the development of the AI Cloud Fabrication drawings feature through Trimble Labs.

      TTSD-69980

  • Removed misleading tooltips: The tooltips for the search boxes in the Collections dialog previously indicated a specific way of working that was not applicable. These tooltips have now been removed.

TSAC-9354 Import, export, interoperability

In Tekla Structures 2025 SP1, there was an error opening some dialogs, for example DSTV to DXF Converter, after changing the environment. The problem has now been fixed.

TPLED-369 Templates and reports

Template Editor: The join() and join2() functions always returned 0. This issue has now been fixed.

TPLED-371 Templates and reports

Textual templates: If the value field formula contained an if-then-endif clause without the else part, the formula would always return 0. This issue has now been fixed.

TTSD-69868 Templates and reports

An application error occurred during report creation. This problem has now been fixed.

TTSD-70273 Templates and reports

Previously, some washers and nuts were missing from the reports. In specific cases where the bolt standard or bolt name was not prioritized in the combining order, washers or nuts were not included in the reports. This issue has now been fixed.

TSAC-9112 Drawings

View-specific dimensioning: Recess and hole dimensions are now created faster than before.

TTSD-67971 Drawings

In some cases involving complex, curved geometry, unwanted circles could appear in drawings, especially after selecting drawing objects, zooming, or reopening the drawing. This issue has now been fixed.

TTSD-68319 Drawings

Section Mark X & Y text offset: When you tried to type in a value, it automatically changed to something else. This issue has now been fixed, and you can type in values normally.

A critical error sometimes occurred when you tried to change the color of an object in a Tekla Structures drawing. This issue has now been fixed.

TTSD-69355 Drawings

Drawing image path: The drawing property pane folder browser for images works correctly now. Earlier, an incorrect path might be displayed when you double-clicked any image in a drawing.

TTSD-69774 Drawings

Cloning drawings: Sometimes a bigger paper size was used or views were scaled in the new, cloned drawing even though there was no need. This issue has now been fixed.

TTSD-69888 Drawings

A Tekla Structures application error occurred when you opened some drawings. This issue has now been fixed.

TTSD-70155 Drawings

Dragging polylines in drawings could sometimes cause Tekla Structures to freeze. This issue has now been fixed.

TTSD-70164 Drawings

An application error occurred in Tekla Structures 2025 SP1 if you selected a section view and a detail view at the same time and then loaded view settings were loaded from the property pane. This issue has now been fixed.
