Deleting Tekla customer content
To ensure workflow continuity, Trimble manages the deletion of content based on its visibility and the impact on other users' workflows.
Public content
Tekla Project Settings Management Console and Tekla Warehouse do not allow the deletion of public content.
Public content is any data or component that is shared with all users. Because public users are unknown to the content owner, deleting this content would break projects and critical workflows that depend on it. To ensure platform reliability and protect users who rely on shared data for their projects, Trimble will keep public content available.
After the content is published as public content, it can no longer be changed back to private.
Archiving public content
While permanent deletion is not available for public content, you can archive content.
-
Visibility: Archived content is hidden from general search results and the publicly visible content in Tekla Warehouse and the Project Settings Management Console.
-
Workflow continuity: The content remains accessible to any project or workflow that already references it via API. This ensures that existing builds and models do not break.
Private content
Private content is defined as content that is accessible only by the content owner or their internal users (employees or members depending on the service), or content where access is shared with specific parties.
Because the relationship remains between the participating parties, the content owner continues to have full control of this data. Private content can be deleted by the content owner at any time.
Because Trimble only acts as a platform provider and broker, the participating parties are responsible for maintaining workflow continuity. It is the mutual responsibility of the content owner and the recipient to ensure that their shared workflows remain functional.
