Modify collections in Tekla Warehouse

You can change the name and description of collections, add or remove thumbnails for collections, and change the visibility of private collections to public. You can also delete private collections and archive and unarchive public collections.

Tip: If you do not want subscribers to be notified about the changes that you made, select Minor update, don't notify subscribers when you modify the collection.

Change the name or description of a collection

  1. Go to the collection page.
  2. Click .
  3. Click Edit.
  4. In the Collection details section, change the name or description of the collection.
  5. Click Save.

Change the visibility of a collection to public

You can change the visibility of a private collection to public. You cannot change the visibility back to private after a public collection has been saved.

  1. Go to the collection page.
  2. Click .
  3. Click Edit.
  4. To change the visibility, in the Collection visibility section, click Public.

Delete a private collection

When you delete a private collection, all content in the collection is also deleted. You cannot delete a public collection.

Note: Deleting a private collection may disrupt other users' workflows if the content is in use in their projects.
  1. Go to the collection page.
  2. Click .
  3. Click Edit.
  4. Click Delete.
  5. To confirm the deletion, click Delete.

Archive a public collection

When you archive a public collection, all content in the collection is also archived. After archiving, only Tekla Warehouse Content Editors can access the content in Tekla Warehouse. However, if the content is already in use, it will still be available in the Project Settings Management Console.

  1. Go to the collection page.
  2. Click .
  3. Click Edit.
  4. Click Archive.
  5. To confirm the archiving, click Archive.

Unarchive a collection

If you have archived a public collection, you can unarchive it. After unarchiving, Tekla Warehouse users can access the content again. Note that the content items in the collection are not automatically unarchived.

  1. Go to My Warehouse > My collections.
  2. To view the archived collections, select the Show archived checkbox.
  3. Find the collection you want to unarchive and click .
  4. Click Unarchive.
  5. To confirm, click Unarchive.
