Improvements in components

Concrete components

  • Mesh bars/Mesh bars by area

    On the Detailing tab, you can now use the new Create support bars for loose bars setting to select which support bars are created. In addition, the creation of the support bars in the primary bar direction has been fixed.

  • Generation of purlins (50)

    It is now possible to define 10 custom user-defined attributes on the UDA tab. Previously, you could define 5 user-defined attributes.

Floor layout: Polygon cuts now get the names from the cut parts.

Wall layout: Previously, in some cases, cuts were not created correctly when the contour of the wall layout was changed. This issue has now been fixed.

Tapered I-beam (81): Previously, the beam was incorrectly cut at the start and at the end. This issue has now been fixed.

TSAC-6524 Steel components

Haunch (40): Previously, when the Extra length for haunch flange plate option on the Parameters tab was left empty, 0.0 was written to the Shorten user-defined attribute. This issue has now been fixed and UDA is empty. 

TSAC-6924 Steel components

Bracing cross (19): Previously, when a twin profile was used as the secondary part, the bolts were created with incorrect rotation. This issue has now been fixed.

TSAC-7150 Steel components

Two sided clip angle (33): Previously, the center-to-center (cc) distance of bolts in the main part was incorrectly applied in the component. This issue has now been fixed. 

TSAC-7260 Steel components

Joist to column, type 2 (163): Previously, a bearing plate was created only for seats with an angle profile type. This issue has now been fixed.

TSAC-7458 Steel components

Column - 2 beams (14): Previously, when the secondary parts were sloped, the component could cause errors in the main part creation. This issue has now been fixed.

TSAC-7760 Steel components

Tube gusset (20): Previously, the Finish property was not correctly applied on the gusset plate when the gusset plate was created through the main part. This issue has now been fixed.

TSAC-7863 Steel components

UltraZED Cold rolled sleeved (107): The Orientation hole option has been added on the Parameters tab. 

TSAC-7913 Steel components

Kickplate (S75): Previously, welds 1 and 2 were not created correctly. This issue has now been fixed.

TSAC-7920 Steel components

Spiral stair (S68): Previously, offset from the top of the stair to the top of the sleeve was not working correctly when stairs were created clockwise. This issue has now been fixed.

TSAC-7944 Steel components

Bolted cap plate (27): Previously, bolt holes in the cap plate were not adjusted correctly for one secondary part. This issue has now been fixed.

TSAC-7953 Steel components

Metsec File transfer (26): The tolerance for apex strut has been increased to 1 mm in the X direction. If it is greater than 1 mm, a drawing will be requested.

Tube gusset (20): Previously, chamfers were not created correctly in the end plate. This issue has now been fixed.

TSAC-7963 Steel components

Tube crossing (22): Previously, chamfers were not correctly created in the end plate. This issue has now been fixed.

Cold rolled overlap (1): Previously, positioning of bolts did not work and the bolt group was not created correctly. This issue has now been fixed.

Web stiffeners (1060): It is now possible to specify the assembly numbering prefix and start number.

Web stiffener base plate (1016): Previously, part names were incorrectly applied as the part finish. This has been fixed now.

U.S. Base plate joint (71): Previously, beam stiffener chamfers were not created correctly. This issue has now been fixed.

TSAC-8018 Steel components

Base plate (1004): Previously, the leveling plate was created incorrectly when anchor rods were used and one of them was deleted. This issue has now been fixed.

TTSD-57247 Import, export, interoperability

Point clouds: Point clouds now support files from Trimble X9 3D Laser Scanning System.

TTSD-58242 Import, export, interoperability

Point clouds: Previously, attaching a point cloud using a URL was not possible if  the folder of the point cloud was not accessible. This issue has now been fixed.

IFC2x3 export: The export now adds workshop polygon welds to the assembly they belong to.

Trimble Connect: Project UDA for pour objects is now exported to .tekla files and uploaded  to Trimble Connect.

TTSD-59145 Import, export, interoperability

Trimble Connect: When clicking For Browser >3D View, the project explorer should have been opened instead of a 3D view if an error occurred during the upload of the model, or if no models were uploaded. This issue has now been fixed.

TTSD-59176 Import, export, interoperability

IFC2x3 export: Rebars detached from parts were not exported even though you had selected the All objects option. This issue has now been fixed.

TTSD-59183 Import, export, interoperability

IFC4 export: Rebar assemblies are now exported also when you use IFC4Precast View.

TTSD-59391 Import, export, interoperability

IFC4 export:  Bolt assembly elements (washers and nuts) are now placed correctly also in complicated part geometries including overlapping parts.

Trimble Connect: Sometimes the reinforcement in the model was not represented properly in the .tekla file. This issue has now been fixed.

IFC2x3 export: Previously, when you exported an IFC file for the first time, the angle to the north setting defined in the base point settings was not exported. This issue has now been fixed.

TTSD-60359 Import, export, interoperability

IFC2x3 export: Additional property set definitions for window elements were enabled in the IFC2x3 export.

TPLED-303 Templates and reports

Template Editor: Sometimes, targeting a value field in a hidden row with a CopyField function did not work. This issue has now been fixed.

TTSD-36054 Templates and reports

Templates and reports: Earlier, sawing angles in reports were sometimes reported incorrectly for short profiles. This issue has now been fixed.

TSAC-7996 Drawings

Rebar mesh view creator: Bent rebar assemblies and rebar sets are now supported.

TTSD-60166 Drawings

Fabrication drawings: Previously, the Creation review dialog box could stop responding if a model object related to a drawing no longer existed. This issue has now been fixed.

TTSD-60206 Drawings

Layout editor:  On rare occasions, Tekla Structures could stop responding due to a problem related to the drawing layout editor. This issue has now been fixed.

TTSD-59419 Tekla Model Sharing

Tekla Model Sharing:

- Now the user interface is not unresponsive if there are failures in the Join operation.

- Tekla Structures now verifies the checksums of the written out content.

 

TTSD-58916 Reinforcement

In some cases, large coordinates for base points reduced the accuracy of bending shape rule calculations in rebar shape recognition, which sometimes produced incorrect results. This issue has now been fixed.

TTSD-59354 Installation

Previously, Tekla Structures sometimes did not start after installing Windows updates. This issue has now been fixed.

TTSD-60190 Core

There has been a security update to the CefSharp library, an embedded web browser in the Online side pane, due to the CVE-2023-4863 vulnerability. The CefSharp library has been updated to version 117.2.40.

TTSD-50250 Import, export, interoperability (steel)

DSTV/NC: Earlier, sawing angles were not reported in the NC files when you exported a short profile. Now the sawing angles are reported also for short profiles.

TTSD-56129 Import, export, interoperability (steel)

DSTV/NC export: When you exported geometry with notches, unusually large coordinates might sometimes appear in the AK contour. This issue has now been fixed.

TTSD-59494 Import, export, interoperability (steel)

Export IFC2x3 to Tekla PowerFab: The import of a Tekla Structures IFC2x3 file to PowerFab was sometimes unsuccessful due to some non-schema enumeration values. This issue has now been fixed.

TTSD-59890 Import, export, interoperability (steel)

DSTV/NC: Previously, contour marking filters in the NC export were not working correctly. This issue has now been fixed.

TSAC-7959 Import, export, interoperability (concrete)

Export ELiPLAN file (68): Previously, plotter data was missing for elements when the position number type was set to ACN. This issue has now been fixed.

TSAC-7971 Import, export, interoperability (concrete)

Export ELiPLAN file (68): Previously, the Plot cutout/embed as lines filtering did not work correctly. This issue has now been fixed.

TSAC-7972 Import, export, interoperability (concrete)

Export ELiPLAN file (68): Previously, plotted additional reinforcement was missing height, width, or thickness in some cases. This issue has now been fixed.
