Tekla Structures 2026 SP3.1

Tekla Structures 2026 SP3.1 resolves an issue where inspecting or editing drawings could be slow, especially when moving the mouse pointer between views with a high number of objects (TTSD-77045). This issue was caused by the section view associativity dialog performance.

Users who need this fix should download Tekla Structures 2026 SP3.1.

Tekla Structures 2026 SP3.1 is a full installation package. Tekla Structures 2026 SP3.1 contains all the fixes from Tekla Structures 2026 SP3, along with the additional fix specified above.

Updates in Tekla Model Assistant (Preview)

Improved conversation memory

Tekla Model Assistant now remembers more of your recent chat history instead of a limited number of messages. The assistant keeps your current question and the most recent results ready to use, and it will only remove the oldest parts of the conversation if it needs to make more space.

TTSD-77068

Better handling of large requests

Tekla Model Assistant now breaks large, complex requests into a series of steps. This helps the assistant follows the given instructions accurately. You can see which parts are finished, and update the remaining tasks at any time to match your project needs.

TTSD-76269

Summary of the open model

Tekla Model Assistant can now provide an instant, comprehensive overview of the model. Instead of processing objects individually, the assistant uses a new internal tool to retrieve key project data. This allows the assistant to answer questions like What’s in the model, How heavy the model is, How many beams and columns are in the model, What are the used profiles and materials, and How big is the model without needing to process objects individually.

You can

  • view the number of parts, components, welds, reinforcement, and reference models, and other uncategorized objects.

  • Check the number of parts. Parts are grouped by name, such as BEAM, COLUMN, or PLATE.

  • retrieve the total amount of individual bolts and bolt groups.

  • identify the number of profiles and materials used in the project.

  • view the total weight of all parts.

  • View the bounding box from all parts: min/max in mm, sizes in mm and meters, and imperial size strings when relevant.

TTSD-76271

Object deletion in Tekla Model Assistant

You can now use Tekla Model Assistant to delete objects from your model or drawing. The assistant finds the matching objects, highlights them, and asks you to confirm the action before deleting them. If you decline the request, the objects are not deleted. For very large deletions, the assistant processes the objects in smaller groups and asks for your permission before it deletes the objects.

TTSD-76277

Identical property names

When a standard object property and a user-defined attribute (UDA) share the same name (such as Class), Tekla Model Assistant now shows both values instead of potentially missing one. You can also use UDA: or REPORT: prefixes to specify exactly which property you want. The assistant will then search only that category to find or modify the data.

TTSD-76091

Manage components and browse catalogs more efficiently

  • View component contents: You can now get a detailed breakdown of up to five selected components at a time. Tekla Model Assistant lists all component objects, including bolts, welds, reinforcement, and cuts with their properties.

  • Modify component properties: You can update component properties directly in the Tekla Model Assistant chat. For example, you can ask the assistant to change the plate thickness or step height.

  • Browse the profile catalog: You can search for and list available profiles in the environment. You can view the full list or use wildcards (for example: HEB*, IPE*, or CHS) to find specific profiles.

  • Browse the material catalog: You can search for and list materials available in the model. By using wildcards (for example: S355* or B500*), you can see all matching material grades and types.

TTSD-76067

Direct catalog access

Tekla Model Assistant now accesses your local catalogs directly to find profiles, materials, and components. The assistant recognizes the exact same items that are available in your active Tekla Structures session. This prevents issues where components were missing or incorrectly substituted. The catalog information updates automatically when you open or switch models.

TTSD-76278

Clash check in Tekla Model Assistant

You can now ask Tekla Model Assistant to run a clash check in your model or on a specific selection of objects. Based on your request, the assistant filters and selects the objects to run the clash check against.

The results are displayed in the Clash check manager dialog.

TTSD-76272

Find drawings by creation or modification date

You can now search for drawings by when they were created or modified. In addition to searching by Name or Mark, you can specify a custom date range or use everyday terms, such as today or last 7 days to find the drawings you need.

TTSD-76471

Improved update process

The assistant update process now ensures that required updates cannot be skipped. Previously, if you skipped a mandatory update and a newer optional update was released, you could skip updating and never install the required version.

Now, a minimum required version is tracked. If your installed version is below the minimum required version, you must update before using Tekla Model Assistant. If your assistant version is already on or above the minimum required version, you can still skip optional updates when the latest release is not mandatory.

New buttons for picking points and angles in Rotate and Mirror dialogs

The Pick... button has been added to the Copy - Mirror and Move - Mirror dialogs.

The Pick... and Pick angle... buttons have been added to Copy - Rotate and Move - Rotate dialogs.

It is now possible to redefine the points or angles directly from the dialog without having to restart the command.

TTSD-70149

Publish to Tekla Structural Designer (Preview): View and generate revisions

You can now view the names of previous revisions for cloud models published to Tekla Structural Designer. In the Publish to Tekla Structural Designer dialog, click the new button next to the Revision box to see the five latest revisions of the selected published model.

In revision names, you can use formats such as letters only, numbers only, or a single letter followed by numbers. Spaces, full stops, and dashes can be used as separators. If there is a pattern in the names of the two latest revisions, such as a prefix and a number or letter, Tekla Structures automatically suggests the next revision name.
