Tekla Structures 2026 SP1

The latest Tekla Structures service pack and updated environment installers are available in Trimble Downloads.

We recommend that you install the latest Tekla Structures service pack version.

Automatic conversion of 32-bit Tekla Structures extensions to 64-bit

Starting from Tekla Structures 2026, only 64-bit Tekla Structures extension packages (.tsep) are supported. As a result, extensions that had the 32-bit preferred flag in previous versions are no longer compatible with Tekla Structures 2026. To maintain the functionality of these extensions, Tekla Structures can now automatically convert extensions to 64-bit to make them compatible with Tekla Structures 2026.

You can optionally disable the automatic conversion by setting the XS_SKIP_CONVERTING_EXTENSION_APPS_TO_X64 advanced option to TRUE in the options.ini file.

Automatic license release when switching users

The Switch user button on the Tekla Structures start screen now automatically releases all licenses reserved on the user's computer for the version of Tekla Structures currently in use. Licenses reserved in other versions of Tekla Structures are not released. Keeping a license reserved in a different version while switching users can cause system conflicts.

Previously, when the part center line was displayed, inquiring, bolting, or welding parts sometimes caused the parts to become transparent. This issue has been fixed.

Tekla Model Sharing: Background download of unread packets

Unread packets from the Tekla Model Sharing sharing service are now automatically downloaded and unzipped in the background. This reduces read-in time because some packets are already stored on the local drive. The automatic download starts immediately when a packet becomes available in the sharing service, provided that the Tekla Structures model is open. However, the changes from other Tekla Model Sharing users will not be applied until you click Read in to complete the read-in process.

To disable automatic packet downloading in the background, go to File > Sharing > Sharing settings and clear the Download content in background automatically selection. When this option is disabled, background monitoring remains active, but the packet downloading is not started in the background.

Write out in Tekla Model Sharing has been optimized to improve performance. Now, redundant verification checks (checksums) for drawing files and snapshots have been removed, making write out faster.

Longer part mark property entries allowed

The character limit for part mark property names and other content has been increased to 1024 characters. This enables longer property references, such as those used with the Trimble Connect property set integration (for example, PSET.<Library_name>.<Property_set_name>.<Property>).

The AI Cloud Fabrication drawings service was first released as a preview feature in Tekla Structures 2025 and has been continuously improved.

Collections: Easier re-upload of drawings

Tekla Structures 2026 SP1 introduces a system that alerts if the collection contains drawings that would benefit from being re-uploaded. A yellow exclamation mark is displayed on the Collections button in the Creation review dialog and on the options button in the Collections dialog. When this icon is displayed, it means that improvements in drawing creation are available in the latest service pack that can only be applied if the drawings are re-uploaded. Additionally, you can use the new re-upload tool to easily re-upload drawings without needing to open the related models.

The tooltip of the Collections button also indicates that drawing updates are available and re-upload is recommended.

You have two alternatives for re-uploading:

If you want to re-upload drawings only from the current model, use the familiar plus button and upload the drawings from Document manager.
If you want to re-upload drawings that need to be re-uploaded from several models at once, we recommend that you use the new, convenient Update collection dialog.

Re-uploading drawings is a recommendation. Drawing creation will still function normally, but the latest improvements and fixes in the latest service pack might not be implemented.

Re-upload drawings using Document manager

You can now re-upload drawings to the active collection from the current model just as you would add new ones.

Simply select the drawings from Document manager and click the plus button in the Collections dialog, as before.
- If there are only new drawings in the selection, the drawings will be uploaded as usual.
- Outdated drawings (missing parts, decreased quality, etc) will be ignored in the upload.
- If the active collection already contains other versions of some of the drawings you are adding, a dialog will be displayed asking how you want to add the drawings.
  
  The drawing you are adding might have been created in an older Tekla Structures version and you uploaded the drawing using a newer Tekla Structures version, or the local drawing has been modified and saved and is now different from the drawing version in the cloud.
Select what you want to do:
- Remove and replace: Deletes all existing versions of the drawings and replaces them with the new drawings. Adding drawings with a newer Tekla Structures version will not be compatible if you are using an older Tekla Structures version.
- Add new versions: Adds the new versions of the drawings. This will not remove the existing versions of the drawings.

Re-upload drawings using Update collection dialog

You can efficiently manage and update multiple drawings through an intuitive interface that organizes content by model and offers real-time progress tracking.

Note: If you are using the Update collection dialog to re-upload drawings in the currently open model, we recommend that you save the model beforehand, so that the latest drawing status can be retrieved.

To re-upload existing drawings with the latest data, click the options button in the Collections dialog and select the new option, Re-upload drawings.

The new Update collection dialog lists the drawings organized by model, with sortable column data.
Define the model locations. To list only outdated drawings, select the Show only drawings that need re-upload checkbox at the top. The Tekla Structures version used for creating the drawings is shown in the Version column.
Select which drawings you want to upload:
- To upload only the selected drawings, select the checkboxes next to the desired drawings.
- To upload all outdated drawings in a model, select the checkbox next to the model.
- To upload all outdated drawings, select the Re-upload checkbox on the title row.
Click Update and select one of the following options:
- Update existing collection: The outdated drawings in the collection will be updated with new versions. This option uploads the latest drawing version and removes all other versions of that drawing. This is the best option if you want to maintain your current collection structure.
- Duplicate existing collection: The active collection will be duplicated and the drawings will be uploaded there. Select this if you want to keep the original versions separate.
If the model that contains the drawings to re-upload is the currently open model, you will be asked to save the model to apply the latest changes and continue with the upload. Click Save.
If the model was created in an older Tekla Structures version, and you save the model, you can no longer open the model in an older Tekla Structures version. You will be asked if you want to continue with saving. Click Yes to continue.

The uploading starts and the message Processing is displayed next to the drawings being uploaded. You can follow the upload process at the bottom of the dialog.

You can cancel all ongoing tasks by clicking Cancel. This will not undo the changes that have already been done in the current collection. The Process cancelled message is displayed for all rows that are being processed.

When the drawings have been uploaded, the message changes to Updated and the Cancel button changes to Close.

An error message is displayed, for example, when:

A drawing is missing or not available.
A model path is incorrect or missing.
The drawing is out of date or there was an extraction error.
Some technical errors occurred.

TTSD-69478	Modeling	Previously, text in Japanese and some other languages was not displayed correctly in the modeling view. This issue has been fixed.
TTSD-70627	Modeling	Previously, when the work plane was set to a location other than the default plane and bolts were created using a part face, the bolts were positioned far from the selected part face. This issue has been fixed.
TTSD-72220	Modeling	Previously, when a polybeam with a profile containing at least one very large dimension was created, and a new part view was created, for example, from the face of another object, the unwanted polybeam appeared in the new view. This has been fixed, and the view depth does not display these objects any more.
TTSD-73317	Modeling	Previously, when modifying the dimension value of a contour plate by entering the value, the opposite side might also be modified, even when the adjacent and modified sides were not orthogonal. This issue has been fixed.
TTSD-74167	Modeling	Tekla Structures model is now displayed correctly even when the view has a very narrow aspect ratio.
TTSD-74410	Modeling	Trimble Connect: When XS_FIRM and XS_PROJECT are set to a Trimble Connect folder path, local sync files will no longer be deleted if there is an API failure or outage. However, if the folder does not exist in Trimble Connect, the files will be deleted.

TTSD-74845	Modeling	Previously, the geometry data returned by Reinforcement.GetRebarComplexGeometries was in the current work plane for rebar groups and single bars, but in global coordinates for rebar sets. This inconsistency has now been fixed, and the geometry data for rebar sets is now returned in the current work plane.
TTSD-74847	Modeling	Live Collaboration: When sharing clip planes and clip boxes in Live Collaboration sessions, the base point is now taken into consideration.

TTSD-75292	Modeling	When items were used to model cast-in-place structures, item solids were not clipped correctly if the items were not detailed, for example, by cuts. This resulted in incorrect geometry representation in model views and drawings, such as showing edges between adjacent item faces in continuous structures, and incorrect volumes if parts of the items were overlapping. This issue has been fixed.
