Additional methods for copying objects in models and drawings

You can copy objects in Tekla Structures in a number of different ways. When you copy an object, Tekla Structures copies all objects connected to it, including the components.

If you do not wish to use copying commands that copy the selected objects to clipboard, there are additional copying methods available.

Copy objects in a model or in a drawing by specifying a distance from origin

You can copy objects to a new position in the model or drawing by specifying a distance from the origin. Use the 数値位置の入力 dialog to specify the distance.

  1. Select the objects you want to copy.
  2. Run the コピー command:
    • In the model, on the 編集 tab, click コピー.

    • In the drawing, on the 図面 tab, click コピー.

  3. Pick the origin for copying.
  4. Move the cursor in the direction you want to copy the objects, but do not pick the point.
  5. Type the distance.

When you start typing, Tekla Structures displays the 数値位置の入力 dialog automatically.

  6. Click OK.

Copy objects in a model or in a drawing using drag-and-drop

You can copy objects by using drag-and-drop.

  1. Activate drag-and-drop.
    • In the model, on the ファイル menu, click 設定 and select the ドラッグアンドドロップ checkbox.

    • In the drawing, on the ファイル menu, click 設定 and select the 図面ドラッグ アンド ドロップ checkbox.

  2. Select the objects you want to copy.

In drawings, you can copy annotations, sketch objects, and grid labels by dragging. To copy grid labels, first select the grid label and then either activate the 基準線(単独)の選択 selection switch or select the grid label handle.

For more information, see Drag, reshape, and resize drawing objects.

  3. Hold down the Ctrl key and drag the objects to a new location.

In a model, the point you start dragging from (center, corner, or middle point) affects the object's alignment in the new location.

    Tekla Structures copies the objects:

Copy objects linearly in a model or in a drawing

In the model or drawing, you can create multiple copies of an object in the same linear direction.

  1. Select the objects you want to copy.
  2. Run the 平行 command:
    • In the model, on the 編集 tab, click コピー > 平行.

    • In the drawing, on the 図面 tab, click コピー > 平行.

The コピー - 平行 dialog opens.

  3. Pick two points, or enter the coordinates in the dX, dY, and dZ boxes.

You can also use a formula to calculate the x, y, and z displacements. For example:

In drawings, dZ is not defined.

  4. Enter the number of copies.
  5. Click コピー.
  6. To stop copying, press Esc
    ヒント:

If the dialog is open but the command is no longer active, click the 指示... button to re-activate the command.

Copy objects from another model

An alternative method for copying model objects from another model is to use phase numbers. Note that Tekla Structures copies secondary parts from the model only if they belong to the same phase as their main part. This also applies to component objects.

Note that you can use the コピー, 別のオブジェクトへ,別の平面へ, or すべてのオブジェクトを別のオブジェクトに commands to copy model objects from model to another. For more information, see Copy model objects and drawing objects using the clipboard.

  1. On the 編集 tab, click コピー > 別のモデルから.

    The モデルからコピー dialog opens.

  2. In the モデルフォルダ list, select the model to copy from.

This is the source model. Note that the target model must have been created using the same or newer version of Tekla Structures as the source model. You cannot copy from a newer version to an older version.

  3. In the フェーズ番号 box, enter the numbers of the phases from which to copy objects, separated by spaces.

    For example, 2 7.

  4. Click コピー.
  5. Close the dialog.
注:

If you copy pour breaks from another model, the copied pour breaks automatically adapt to the target model. Always check that the copied pour breaks have adapted correctly.
