General improvements in Tekla PowerFab 2026

Attach documents to a load

You can now attach files to a load both in Tekla PowerFab Office and Tekla PowerFab Go.

In Tekla PowerFab Office, you can add scanned documents to a load in the Load Properties dialog.

The number of attached documents shows on the Attached Files button. You can also add the Attached Files column to the Loads dialog to display the number of documents attached to a load.

Documents added to a load are stored in the Production Control Document Index, in the Load Files category.

The documents attached to a load are also listed in shipping ticket reports and attached images are displayed in the report.

Enhanced sustainability tracking for mills

To support more accurate and detailed material sustainability reporting, you can now specify mill-specific recycled content percentages and the distance from your shop for companies in Firm Details in the Address Book.

There is a also a new field, Distance to Job, in Production Control Job Edit.

Together these enhancements provide the tools for more robust reporting, giving you greater insight into your material supply chain.

The new report, TFS Details - LEED is available in Production Control reports.

When receiving purchase orders, you must define the Mill of Origin for the report to work propertly.

Faster purchase order creation

If you need purchase orders for the ERP or financial accounting software, there is now a new automated event to simplify and expedite the creation process.

You can now automatically import purchase orders in the XML format from a specified directory.

Enhancements in filters

New quick filters

Quick filters have been added to the following dialogs:

Favorite filters

To help you quickly find and apply your most frequently used filters more quickly, a new Favorite + option has been added to Filters. This allows you to mark any filter for easy access, saving you time and clicks.

This functionality has been implemented across all filter dialogs within PowerFab Office.

Key improvements:

  • Filters can now be marked or unmarked as a favorite.
  • Favorite filters are flagged with an asterisk and automatically sorted to the top of the list for immediate access.
  • Your favorite selections are saved to your user profile, so your preferred filters are always ready for you.

Combine Only Within Sequence additions

The Combine Only Within Sequence option is now available when combining Estimating and Advance Bill jobs.

When selected, Tekla PowerFab will only include parts from the same sequence into a bar or plate when optimizing material.

You can enable and disable this option from the Combining Optimizations when running a combine. You can also set the default setting in the Company Standards of the relevant module.

Due date in Work Package Smart Create

There is now a new column, Due Date, in Work Package Smart Create.

The default value is the current date. You can select a new value from the drop-down calendar or use the buttons to change the date.

Production Planner: Calculate remaining hours

You can now configure the Production Planner to calculate remaining capacity.

A new option, Calculate remaining hours, in Production Control > Company Standards > Planning Settings allows you to select an option to have the remaining hours calculated based on the completed percentage of the department work package.
