Link materials in Production Control to a prepurchased ABM (advanced bill of materials) by using the Link Job command. Tekla PowerFab uses reference numbers to match the materials across modules. Any unlinked materials, such as loose pieces, will be loaded into a requisition or a purchase order to be purchased.

1. In the Select Production Control Job dialog, open a job and click the Production Control ribbon tab.
2. On the menu, select Purchasing > Link Job.

   The Link Filters dialog opens.

3. To limit which materials are linked, do the following (Optional):
   1. Select a filter type in the Type list, and click Select.

      The Filter dialog opens.

   2. Click the arrow buttons to move the items that you want to link to the Included list.
   3. Click OK.

      You return to the Link Filters dialog.

4. Select the If updating a cut list item, exclude from being cut checkbox. (Optional)

   By selecting the checkbox, you can ensure that Tekla PowerFab does not invalidate the entire cut list when an item in the cut list is updated. Updated items will be saved in the inventory to be processed later.

5. Click Link.
   The Link Items dialog opens.
6. Click Requisitions if you want to load material information to a requisition or Purchase Orders if you want to load material information to a purchase order.
7. Click the desired requisition or purchase order.
8. Click OK to load the materials.
9. Click OK to close the Link Items dialog.
