XS_SYSTEM
Category in Advanced options dialog: File locations
Note:
This advanced option is only meant for administrators.
This advanced option specifies the location of the Tekla Structures system folder. The system folder contains files that define the default settings for Tekla Structures, such as:

standard files
-
data files (.dat)
-
property files
-
hatch pattern files
-
drawing files
-
template files
-
report files.
Specifying more than one system folder
You can specify more than one system folder to
define different settings for different roles. Use the role options defined in the
env_<environment>.ini file to specify system folders
for each role in XS_SYSTEM. Enter the role options separated by semicolons.
For example, each of these role options specifies the folders that contain the settings specific to that role:

XS_STEEL(\Steel) -
XS_CONCRETE(\Concrete) -
XS_ENGINEERING(\Engineering) -
XS_PRECAST(\Precast)
This example shows the option for the steel role in the env_<environment>.ini file:
set XS_STEEL=%XSDATADIR%\environments\Steel\master_drawings\;%XSDATADIR%\environments\Steel\model_filters\;%XSDATADIR%\environments\Steel\model_settings\Tekla Structures searches the folders starting with the last folder in the list. In this example, the %XSDATADIR%\environments\common\system\ folder is searched first:
set XS_SYSTEM=%XS_STEEL%;%XS_ENGINEERING%;%XS_CONTRACTOR%;%XS_GENERAL%;%XSDATADIR%\environments\common\system\If there are files with the same names in several folders, the one that is read last is used. In the example above, files found from XS_STEEL are used instead of the files with identical names in other folders.
This is a system-specific advanced option and cannot be changed.
