Use adaptivity to modify a reinforcement
Reinforcement follows the shape of the part when the reinforcement handles are located on the face or edge of the part.
The following types of adaptivity are available:
- Default adaptivity: the Default adaptivity setting of the model is used for the reinforcement.
Note that if you select the Default option for a rebar set modifier, the modifier uses the adaptivity setting of the rebar set it belongs to, not the Default adaptivity setting of the model.
- Adaptivity is off: changes in the parent part do not affect objects that are attached to the part.
- Fixed adaptivity: handles retain their absolute distances to the nearest part faces.
- Relative adaptivity: handles retain their relative distances to the nearest part faces in relation to the part’s overall size.

You can also modify the adaptivity settings for each reinforcement separately. These modifications override the general settings in the Options dialog box.
