Drawings for external approval settings

You can submit the drawings for external approval before submitting the package to fabrication.

You can define the properties for the drawings in the Drawings for external approval settings dialog.

  1. To access the Drawings for external approval settings dialog, in the Submit to Tekla PowerFab dialog, select Drawings for external approval and click the edit button .

    The Drawings for external approval settings opens.

  2. Select which information you want to include in the export file.

    Assembly drawings

    General arrangement drawings

    Multidrawings

    Single-part drawings

    1. Select if you want to include drawing files in PDF format.

      Do not include: Drawing files are not included in the export.

      Include: Drawing files are included in the export.

      Include only drawing info: Drawing files are not included in the export. Only drawing details such as drawing number, description, and revision number are included. Creates a placeholder for the drawing in Tekla PowerFab during the import.

    2. If you selected Include, drawing files from the defined folder are included in the export.

      The default folder is .\PlotFiles\.

      To change the folder, click ... next to the box. Then, browse to and select the folder.

    Drawing UDAs

    When selected, all user-defined attributes (UDA) for drawings with values are included in the export.

  3. To save the settings, click .
  4. Close the Drawings for external approval settings to return to the Submit to Tekla PowerFab dialog.

You are ready to submit the drawings for external approval. See Submit to fabricator.
