Changes introduced in AISC 341-22 (Seismic AISC 341)
Design is available to AISC 341-05, AISC 341-10, AISC 341-16 and AISC 341-22. The changes between the 16 and 22 versions, as implemented in Tekla Structural Designer are listed below.
Seismic classification - tables (D1.1a) and (D1.1b)
- Modified classification limits throughout.
- Tables now split into brace members in accordance with D1.1a. and non-brace members in accordance with D1.1b.
Seismic stability bracing of beams (D1.2a) and (D1.2b)
- Modified maximum spacing for both moderately ductile members in accordance with D1.2a.(c) and highly ductile members in accordance with D1.2b.
