Tekla Credentials - Help and Support

Congratulations on receiving your Tekla credential. This article seeks to provide further guidance on how to access, change and share your credential should you need it.

Accredible is the Third party digital credentialing tool used by Tekla to support the distribution of your credentials.

Accessing your Credential

Do I need to create an Accredible account?

To view and share your credentials, you do not need to create an account with Accredible. You can access your credential directly through your credential delivery email, or by using the  Credential Retrieval Tool.

However, if you would like to view all of your credentials in one place, or get access to more areas of Accredible, such as the ‘My Directory Profile’, you will need to create an account.

Creating and managing your Accredible account (including lost passwords)

For guidance on creating an account with Accredible and how to reset lost or forgotten passwords, please visit this Accredible help article.

I deleted my credential delivery email, how can I access my credentials?

If you have lost or deleted the credential delivery email for your Accredible certificate or badge, you can either login to your Accredible account to find it, or alternatively there is a handy tool that can help you get it back:

  1. Head to the online Credential Retrieval Tool.
  2. Please enter the email that you used to earn your credential. It's important that you use the right email address, as this is how we identify your credentials.
  3. Click the 'Retrieve My Credentials'
  4. You will then receive an email with links to all the certificates that belong to the email address you provided.

How can I access all of my credentials in one place?

If you would like to view all of your credentials in one place, you will need to create an Accredible account. For further guidance on how to create an Accredible account, please visit this Accredible help article.

Why are my credentials split between multiple/different Accredible accounts/wallets

If your credentials are showing in different wallets, or profiles, it is because you have been issued credentials to different email addresses. To make sure all of your credentials show in one wallet/profile, you need to ensure they are all associated with the same email address. To change your email address, follow the steps in the question ‘How do I update the email address attached to my credential?

I’ve logged into my credential wallet but I can’t see my credentials

If you can’t see your credentials, first make sure that the email address that is associated with your credential is the same one that you are logged in with. If you log into credential.net with an email address with no credentials attached to it, you will create a new, empty credential wallet. If you wish to change the email address on any of your credentials, follow the steps in the question ‘How do I update the email address attached to my credential?

Why is my credential ‘unavailable’?

If you are trying to view your credential and see the message ‘Oops, we can’t seem to find what you’re looking for’ with the Error 404 message, this means that your credential has not yet been published, has been deleted by your course issuer or is set to private and you are signed out.

If you wish to change the email address associated with any of your credentials, you will need to contact Tekla support. For more information on the best way to do this, see the question ‘I still need help with my credential, how can I contact Tekla support?’

How do I make my credential Private/Public?

Your credential will be published as public by default. If you would like to change the visibility of your credential, firstly you will need to sign in to your Accredible account. To do this,  follow the steps in the question ‘How do I create, or sign in to, my Accredible account?’ before following the below steps:

  1. Along the bottom of the credential window, click the 'Privacy' button.
  2. A pop-up window will emerge asking you to set the visibility of your credential:
    1. Switch the toggle button off to make your credential private (the toggle button will turn gray).
    2. Switch the toggle button on to make your credential public (the toggle button will turn green).
  3. Click on 'Update privacy' to apply any changes.

What is the difference between public and private credential visibility?

When a credential is private, the credential is:

  • Visible only to you
  • Links on social media will not work
  • Will be hidden from search engine results

When a credential is public, the credential is:

  • Visible to anyone with the link
  • It can be shared on social media
  • Will be visible in search engine result
