Axis (52)
System component Axis (52) can be used for creating round profiles with different diameters. Maximum 3 different diameters can be defined. The head and foot of the axis can be omitted, connected to one part using Part-Add, or welded to create an assembly.
Objects created
- Round profiles with different diameters.
Before you start
- Activate the component.
- Pick two points in the model.
Parts tab
This tab includes fields for defining dimensions of the 3 axis-components. For each part, the diameter can be defined. For the head and foot components, also the length and offset from reference points can be defined.
The 3 diameter-fields can be overruled by the profile properties in the Parts-tab. If diameter is defined twice (in both tabs), then the diameter defined in the Parts-tab will prevail.
Parameters tab
You can use the Parameters tab for defining extra options.
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| 1 | The 3 fields define the global displacement of the axis-components from the components’ reference points. The reference points determine the axis: between the picked points is x-direction. The left field is displacement in X-direction, the middle field the Y-direction and the rightest field the Z-direction. |
| 2 | The class (color) of the axis-components. |
| 3 | Finish of the axis-components. The entered text will be added to the middle axis-component (this is the parts where the other parts will be connected to). |
| 4 | The entered text will be put in the Comment-field (User Defined Attributes) of all axis-components. |
| 5 | The entered text will be put in the “Fabricator Name”-field (User Defined Attributes) from all axis-components. |
Parts tab
You can use the Parts tab for defining the profile properties and the dimensions.
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| 1 | Define the profile of the 3 axis-components. If no profile is defined, then the diameter in the Picture tab will be used instead. |
| 2 | List box with connection options for head and foot components. Options:
|
| 3 | Horizontal orientation and offset of the 3 axis-components. |
| 4 | Rotation of the 3 axis-components. |
| 5 | Vertical orientation and offset of the 3 axis-components. |
