It is possible to customize the arrows for section views.

To achieve this:

  1. Create the desired arrow in the Symbol Editor.

By default, section mark symbols are on symbol file sections.sym (..\environments\common\symbols). DO NOT make changes to this file. It is recommended to create a new symbol file for your customizing.

It may be helpful to make a copy of the default sections.sym symbol file and edit the copied version with Symbol Editor and make a new symbol. For example: copy lines from existing symbol like 11 to get circle with line and then add fill area for the arrow part.

  1. Change the advanced options XS_SECTION_SYMBOL_LEFT_ARROW_SYMBOL and/or XS_SECTION_SYMBOL_RIGHT_ARROW_SYMBOL to the desired symbol. All section marks set to use "Custom" will show the symbols defined. 

Note:

Changing the XS_SECTION_SYMBOL_<LEFT/RIGHT>_ARROW_SYMBOL advanced options will apply to all existing Custom section symbols already in use. 

  1. In the section properties, set the Symbol: value to Custom.
