In drawings, you
can align the selected views, texts, marks, notes, and symbols relative to the point you
pick. You can also position objects horizontally or vertically at equal distances from each
other.

In an open drawing, do any of the
following:

Select the objects that you want to align. You can
align views, marks, notes, text, and symbols.
You can
select one or several objects using appropriate
selection switches or filters and area selection, for
example. If you want to align marks and notes only, you
can use Drawing content manager for first selecting the building objects and then the
related marks or notes.

- Select the aligning
command from the toolbar:
aligns the
selected objects above the point that you pick.
aligns the
selected objects below the point that you pick.
aligns the
selected objects to the right of the point that you pick.
aligns the
selected objects to the left of the point that you pick.
aligns the
selected objects to the vertical center of the point that
you pick.
aligns the
selected objects to the horizontal center of the point that
you pick.
positions the
selected objects to the vertical center of the point that
you pick at equal distances.
positions the
selected objects to the horizontal center of the point that
you pick at equal distances.
- Pick a location for
the alignment.
If you have
mixed objects selected, such as views and text objects, you
will be prompted to select which objects you want to align.
- If you selected one
of the two commands that position objects at equal
distances, type the distance in the displayed dialog and
press Enter.
Tip:
To create a row of objects, align them first to the top and then position them horizontally at equal distances from each other. You do not need to reselect the objects between the two commands.

Align selected
marks and notes automatically
|
- Click
on the
Annotations tab.
This aligns the
selected marks and notes by stacking the marks or notes and
placing them evenly.

This command
applies to all marks and associative notes, except weld marks.

This command tries
to avoid crossing leader lines when placing the marks.
