Roof panel types
For wind loading calculations it is important that the correct roof type has been assigned to each roof panel, the following RoofType choices being available.
| RoofType | Example |
|---|---|
Default (if roof slope < 5 degrees) and Flat |
|
|
Default (if roof slope ≥ 5 degrees) and Monopitch |
|
| Duopitch |
|
| Hip Gable |
|
| Hip Main |
|
| Mansard |
|
For snow loading calculations, Tekla Structural Designer only has to distinguish between monopitch and pitched roofs. This is determined from the RoofType as follows:
| RoofType | For snow loading this is considered as: |
|---|---|
| Default | Monopitch |
| Flat | Monopitch |
| Monopitch | Monopitch |
| Duopitch | Pitched |
| Hip Gable | Pitched |
| Hip Main | Pitched |
| Mansard | Pitched |
