Design mat foundations

Tip:

There are several steps in the mat/piled mat procedure that must be undertaken before running one of the below design/check commands. Click the appropriate design workflow link at the bottom of this page for details.

Design or check all mats in the model

On the Foundations tab, click Design Mats.

Tekla Structural Designer designs or checks all mats in the model according to their auto design settings.

Check all mats in a single floor

Open a 2D view of the floor that you want to design.
Right-click anywhere in the scene view.
In the context menu, select Check Slabs.

Tekla Structural Designer checks all slab items (including mat foundations) in the floor regardless of their autodesign settings.

Design all mats in a single floor

Open a 2D view of the floor that you want to design.
Right-click anywhere in the scene view.
In the context menu, select Design Slabs.
Tekla Structural Designer designs all slab items (including mat foundations) in the floor regardless of their autodesign settings.

Check an individual mat

Hover the mouse pointer over the mat that you want to check.
Right-click the mat.
In the context menu that appears, select Check Panel.

Tekla Structural Designer displays the results of the check in a new dialog box.

Design an individual mat

Hover the mouse pointer over the mat that you want to design.
Right-click the mat.
In the context menu that appears, select Design Member.

Tekla Structural Designer displays the results of the design in a new dialog box.
