You can use parametric assemblies to add material to an estimate. Parametric assembly parts can be any fabricated items and they can be sized dynamically based on the part to which they are being applied. This means that the same parametric assembly part can be applied to a variety of different main parts and be automatically calculated accordingly.

For example, stairs, ladders, and handrails are common parametric assemblies that can be created in Tekla PowerFab. Existing parametric assemblies can be added to an estimate while working in the Estimating dialog box.
