This video shows the Steel beam splice design calculation to the Eurocode.
The calculation checks for cover plates and end plates between two identical steel sections subject to bending, shear and axial force. For cover plate connections flange plates can be located on the external, internal or both sides of the flanges. For end plate connections, the end plate can be flush, extended to the top, extended to the bottom or extended to top and bottom.
