How to use the project workspace

The Project Workspace consists of several tabbed windows.

Structure

The Structure window contains a tree for opening scene views, viewing and modifying model properties, and for controlling grids and sub models.

Groups

The Group window contains a tree for organizing the members in your model into design groups. It also allows you to manage design groups according to your needs.

Loading

The Loading window contains a tree which lists the individual loads that have been applied in each loadcase. After analysis it sums the applied loads in each loadcase and combination and checks these against the sum of reactions.

Wind

The Wind window contains a tree which is used after completing the wind modeling process to display wind direction views, modify wind directions, and modify wind loadcases.

Status

The Status window contains the a tree for reviewing the validation messages and other model status indicators.

Connections

The Connection window contains a tree which organizes the model’s steel connections in a hierarchical way, by Type (i.e. Type/Reference), and by Group (i.e. Type/Section size/Reference).

Report Index

The Report Index window contains a tree with bookmarks that can be used to move around the report when a report view is displayed.

Tip: If you click X in the top right corner to close of any of the above windows, you can re-open them from the Windows tab of the ribbon. For more information, see: How to hide, re-display and move windows
