Modify end fixity
The Fixed/Pinned command allows you to graphically review and modify the end fixity of all members in the model.
- Open a view and change the view regime to Review View.
- On the ribbon, go to the Review tab.
- Click Fixed/Pinned.
- Go to the Properties window.
- In the Attribute list, ensure that Fixed/Pinned is selected.
- With the Mode set as Toggle, do one of the following:
- Click near one end of an individual member to switch the end fixity at that end between the valid types.
- Click near the middle of an individual member to switch the end fixity at both ends between the valid types.
- Hold down the left mouse button and drag a box from left to right to alter the fixity settings of all members within the box.
- Hold down the left mouse button and drag a box from right to left to alter the fixity settings of all members within the box or cut by the box.
- Alternatively, with the Mode set as Set On, select the FixityType required and then click near the end or middle of an individual member, or drag a box as above to apply the chosen fixity.
Note: If the end fixity of a member is labeled Cantilever, or N/A, the end fixity at end 1 of the element is different from the fixity at end 2. You can only edit a mixed end fixity by right-clicking on the member and editing its properties in the Properties dialog.
