Beam (command)

Create a single span, or continuous beam. The beam material can be rolled or plated steel, cast-in-place or precast concrete, timber, or cold formed.

Create a single span beam

Create a single span beam between two points.

In the Properties window to create a single span beam, ensure Continuous is unselected and other properties are set as required.
Pick the start point.
Pick the end point.

Tekla Structural Designer creates the beam.

Create a continuous beam between points you pick.

In the Properties window to create a multi span beam, ensure Continuous is selected and other properties are set as required.
Pick the start point.
Pick the end point of span 1.
Pick the end point of span 2.
Continue picking points to add spans.
Pick the same point again to end the command.

Tekla Structural Designer creates the continuous beam.
