Question:
I am working in multi-user mode. During the day the network connection was lost several times.
At first I was connected to the server as user ag_1. After several reconnections I am now working as user ag_5, but I cannot save the model because user ag_1 still has the model locked.

Answer:
This problem occurs due to a network break between the user and the multi-user server. When the connection is restored, it creates a new session for the user and leaves the old session idle.

In Tekla Structures 2016 and newer, go to File menu > Sharing > Active multi-users (older versions Tools > Active Multi-Users), right-click the undesired user and select Clear locks. Then click the Refresh button to remove the user from the list. Note, however, that you need to have rights to do this. These rights are given in the privileges.inp file as follows (this gives everyone the right to clear the locks):
action:AllowMultiuserKick everyone  full

Clearing the locks does not remove the user process from the multiuser server. It only removes all the locks the user has on objects in that model. Any processes on the multiuser server will keep running. To remove those user processes from the multiuser server you need to reboot the server. You do not need to restart the computer, just restart the multiuser service. If you use rebooting, log out with all the users in the model, shut down the xs_server application and then restart it. After this, there should be no extra users.
