Manage subscriptions for Tekla products
Depending on the product, subscription licenses for Tekla products are delivered and managed in the Tekla Online Admin Tool or in the Admin Console. The Tekla Online Admin Tool shows which Tekla licenses are managed in the Admin Console.
If you have licenses that are managed in the Tekla Online Admin Tool, you can assign subscription licenses to users in the Tekla Online Admin Tool.
Users access their assigned subscription licenses by signing in to their Trimble Identity when they start a Tekla app, such as Tekla Structures or Tekla PowerFab.
Users can view their currently assigned subscription licenses on the Tekla licenses page of their Online Profile for Tekla products, or on the My Products page of their Trimble Identity.
All subscriptions might have some limitations on the country of use due to embargo and export control restrictions. For more information, see Trimble's end-user license agreement for Tekla software products.
For more information about subscriptions for specific Tekla products, see these pages:
Assign subscription licenses to users
If you manage licenses in the Tekla Online Admin Tool, assign your company's subscriptions for Tekla products and services to users. You can assign subscriptions to multiple users at the same time.
This task does not apply to Tekla licenses that you manage in the Admin Console. The Tekla Online Admin Tool shows which Tekla licenses are managed in the Admin Console.
Before you begin, add any new users to your company's account as employees or members.
When you have Named User licenses, each license seat can only be assigned to one user. You can assign the subscription to as many users as you have license seats. Named User licenses cannot be reassigned except as defined in Change of license type - End of sale of Standard, Flex, and Worldwide licenses. Make sure that you have selected the correct users when you assign licenses.
You are responsible for following the terms governing the use of each license, such as the countries where the license is allowed to be used.
The selected subscriptions are assigned to the selected users.
Check subscription usage and expiration date
On the Licenses page, you can view a list of your subscriptions and view detailed information about each subscription.
You can also view information about licenses that are managed in the Admin Console, but you cannot manage them in the Tekla Online Admin Tool. The Tekla Online Admin Tool shows which Tekla licenses are managed in the Admin Console.
Filter and sort the licenses table
You can filter the licenses table by the name of the license, and by whether the licenses are currently valid. You can also sort the table by any column heading.

| Description | |
|---|---|
| 1 | To filter by the name of the license, type part of the name. |
| 2 | To show expired licenses in addition to the currently valid licenses, select the check box. By default, expired licenses are hidden. |
| 3 | To sort by a column heading, click the column heading. By default, columns are sorted in ascending order. To reverse the sorting order, click the arrow. |
View and export statistics about Tekla license usage
The Statistics page shows statistics about the past and current usage of licenses for your Tekla products as a graph. You can optionally export the statistics.
You can view and export statistics about all of your Tekla licenses even if you do not manage licenses in the Tekla Online Admin Tool.

| Description | |
|---|---|
| 1 | The license for which to show or export usage statistics. |
| 2 |
The type of statistics to show or export.
|
| 3 | The start date for the statistics graph or for the statistics export. |
| 4 | The end date for the statistics graph or for the statistics export. |
| 5 |
A graph of the current and past license usage. Note:
License data is not real-time data. It is updated once a day at 01:00 UTC. Each day in the chart is from 0:00 to 23:59 UTC. When License use by individuals is selected, the blue line shows the number of users who have used the successfully used the selected product's license. The red line shows the number of users who could not use the product because there were no licenses available. To view detailed statistics for a specific day, place the mouse cursor on a line in the graph. |
| 6 |
Exports the statistics for the selected license as a semicolon-separated value file. Exporting the statistics allows you to import the data into another application, such as Microsoft Excel, to view and process it outside of the Tekla Online Admin Tool. If you have assigned office location tags to users, the exported file includes the office location tags that are assigned to each user. |
