SketchUp

You can export Tekla Structures models as .skp files to be used in SketchUp.

Trimble SketchUp is a modeling software used in, for example, architecture, construction, engineering and landscape architecture. 3D Warehouse contains lots of SketchUp models that you can import as reference models to Tekla Structures.

You can insert Sketchup files as reference models to Tekla Structures. For more information about inserting reference models, see Insert a reference model.

Tekla Structures supports SketchUp version 2021 and earlier in export and reference model insert.

Export a model to SketchUp

Select the model objects to export.

If you want to export all, you do not have to select anything. We recommend exporting large models in smaller portions.
On the File menu, click Export > SketchUp.
Browse to the desired Output file location and enter the file name.
In Version, select the desired SketchUp version.
On the Advanced tab, select the objects that you want to export.
Click Create selected.

If you want to export everything, click Create all.
