The Combining module renamed to Advance Bill

The Combining module has been renamed to Advance Bill.

This change impacts also all related dialogs and materials such as reports.

Links in Inventory

In Inventory, there is now a Links button in the lower-right corner of the dialog. Clicking it allows you to view material items in purchase orders, production control, cut lists, and work packages that are linked to the selected inventory item.

See the following:

Address Book enhancements

The Address Book now has the possibility to filter the companies in the list by name, code, contact, and notes. You can also use the search to find information.

See Address book.

You can now select if a company is active, that is, visible in lists for selection.

See Add companies to the address book.

You can now also set default payment terms for a supplier on the Addresses tab in the Address Book. These terms are then applied to new purchase orders for this supplier.

For more information, see the following:

Preset Default Directories

Users with administrator rights can now create one or more Default Directory presets and set one preset as the default.

See Default directories

Specify maximum length of assembly on trailer for shipping

You can now set the maximum assembly length per trailer in Maintenance > Production Control > Company Standards > Load Tracking Settings. You can also set the maximum length for individual trailers in the Load Tracking Settings.

This ensures that the assemblies you assign to a load will actually fit to the trailer.

See the following:

Enhancements in imports

When importing IFC files to Advance Bill and Estimating, you can now map shape and grade combinations that are currently not in your material database.

See the following instructions:

When importing a job to the Estimating module, the Estimate Job Edit dialog now includes a Load Info button to load information from a Project Management job. This loads fields from the selected job, including client information.

See the following instructions:

Invite project contacts to a Trimble Connect project

You can now add users directly from a project in Tekla PowerFab to a Trimble Connect project.

See Add users to a Trimble Connect project.

Override scrap determination when performing TFS

Take from stock (TFS) now includes the option to override the system scrap settings and return the drop to inventory or scrap.

This option is available in both the Tekla PowerFab desktop application and in Tekla PowerFab Go.

See the following content:

Totals added to Contract & Invoicing Summary report

A totals line has been added to the Summary report in Maintenance > Project Management > Project Summary for Contract & Invoicing.

This improvement is also available in Tekla PowerFab 2023 SP15, 2023i SP10, 2024 SP5, and 2024i SP2.

Database nickname on the desktop

You can now view the database nickname on the Tekla PowerFab desktop, right after the port number.

Example:

New filter for multing and nesting

In Advance Bill, Estimating, Production Control, and Requisitions, there is a new filter for multing and nesting. Applying it when creating a combining run shows only the type of material that will mult or nest.

Reference # linking enhancement

In Production Control, the Reference # can now accept a comma-separated value and be successfully linked to Advance Bill, inventory, or requisition items that have a Reference # matching only one of the comma-separated values.

Also, when importing into Production Control, if instances of a part have different ABM # values, these are preserved in a comma-separated value.

Previously, one value was chosen to be used for the part. When a part has a comma-separated Reference # value, when loading material into requisitions or purchase orders, the first value is used for the record.

Define multipliers in Company Standards

For Import Settings in Maintenance > Production Control > Company Standards, you can now specify how to manage situations in which quantity is not a multiple of the main piece quantity. This might apply to bolts, for example.

See Define import settings in Define company standard settings for Production Control.
