1. General

1.1 Improved Model Accuracy

The setting XS_AD_USE_HIGH_ACCURACY = FALSE has been introduced to allow greater tolerance in structural models. This enables the creation of more abstract models with improved accuracy.
This adjustment is applied across all roles, as it has been placed in env_Switzerland.ini.

1.2 Functionality Check

The PRefP function has been verified to work correctly, ensuring all UDA tabs are displayed properly.

This adjustment is applied in all roles. Please note that the Text Plugins (Version 2.2) must also be installed!

1.3 Cloud Environment and Launcher Optimization

The new Tekla Launcher allows Tekla Structures to be launched without the need to install the environment.

To enable extensions (Tekla Structures Extension Packages, TSEPs) to be additionally loaded from the cloud, the following variable has been defined: XS_TSEP_TO_BE_INSTALLED_ORG_DIR=%XS_FIRM%\..\Admin\TSEP\

This provides greater flexibility and efficiency in managing your company’s custom extension collections and makes them easier to use as a standard in your cloud environments.

1.4 Extension Management in the Cloud

A list of extensions to be loaded with the cloud environment has been stored in the file tsep-dependencies.json.
This list contains:

  • Name of Extension

  • GUID as a link to the Tekla Warehouse

allowedRoles  specifying which roles the extensions will be loaded for.

More details about which extensions are integrated in which roles of the Swiss environment can be found here:

2. Steel Construction

2.1 Improved Railing Settings

Railing settings have been updated to enable more detailed modeling and optimized representation.

Geländer

New templates are now available for the following components:

  • Pfosten - Geländer - Fußleiste (S86)
  • Pfosten TVP 1 (S76)
  • Geländer (S77)
  • Fußleiste (S75)

These adjustments are used in the roles GER_Stahlbau and FRA_Acier, as the settings are stored in the following subfolder of the Swiss environment:
...\2025.0\Environments\Switzerland\SWI_GER\Steel\Detailing\ModelingSettings

...\2025.0\Environments\Switzerland\SWI_FRA\Steel\Detailing\ModelingSettings

2.2 New STP export templates for Switzerland

For the new STEP and IGES export formats, templates have been created for the Swiss environment to simplify the export process. One template exports the entire model by assembly and another exports by single part.

More details are available at the following link:

TUA - Export STEP and IGES files - New export for automated steel handrail manufacturing

The standard template is available for all roles. The assembly and part export templates are only available in roles GER_Stahlbau, FRA_Acier, and ITA_Acciaio. Settings are stored in:
...\2025.0\Environments\Switzerland\General\standard
...\2025.0\Environments\Switzerland\SWI_GER\Steel\Detailing\ExchangeSettings
...\2025.0\Environments\Switzerland\SWI_FRA\General\standard
...\2025.0\Environments\Switzerland\SWI_ITA\General\ExchangeSettings

2.3 Extensions for the Swiss Environment

A major new feature is the SZS steel connections, available at the following Tekla Warehouse link:
Warehouse Link: SZS Normanschlüsse

Currently, the settings can be used with the component:
 - C9.A/14 - Beam splices with end plates (created for the component "End Plate Splice Type 1 (14)")

3. Structural Engineering

3.1 Adjustments to Reinforcement Export

During BVBS export, it is now checked whether reinforcements with the grade "undefined" are excluded from export. This ensures that reinforcement bars from embedded parts are not included in the ABS file.

3.2 Revised Drawing Representation

Several improvements to the drawing presentation have been made in the structural engineer roles:

Custom settings have been created for the cut edges of all elements.
With the new feature in Tekla Structures 2025 of additional line types the drawing output can now be even more customized per element. These enhancements have already been applied to the Swiss templates for formwork and reinforcement drawings.

These adjustments are included in the roles:
    role_GER_Bauingenieur_Ausführung; role_GER_Bauingenieur_Vordimensionierung

  • Additional settings for the representation of embedded insulation or wood inserts have been created and integrated into the drawing logic of of the roles role_GER_Bauingenieur_Ausführung; role_GER_Bauingenieur_Vordimensionierung.
