Question: I have used a DWG file as a reference in a drawing (not a DWG As a reference model in the model but a DWG inserted directly into the drawing). How are the 255 different DWG colors converted to Tekla drawing colors?
Answer: The colormap that is used to assign colors to DWG reference file are hardcoded in Tekla Structures. The colors that are used in Tekla Structures drawings are black (/white), cyan, red, blue, green, yellow, white (/black), gray and brown. The color is assigned based on AutoCAD Color Index (numbers 0-255).
| AutoCAD Color Index number | Color in drawing |
| (ACADColor ==1) or (10 <= ACADColor <=39) or (240 <= ACADColor <=249) |
Black (/white) |
