New template attributes AREA_FORM_TOP_GLOBAL, AREA_FORM_SIDE_GLOBAL and AREA_FORM_BOTTOM_GLOBAL

These template attributes show the area of faces whose normal vector points in the following directions in the global coordinate system:

  • Top of form (AREA_FORM_TOP_GLOBAL)
  • Bottom of form (AREA_FORM_BOTTOM_GLOBAL)
  • Form sides (AREA_FORM_SIDE_GLOBAL)

Use these template attributes with the CAST_UNIT content type to report the formwork areas of cast-in-place cast units. These attributes and areas are not dependent on the top-in-form face settings.

To report the formwork areas of precast cast units, use the template attributes AREA_FORM_TOP, AREA_FORM_BOTTOM, and AREA_FORM_SIDE.

To do: Update the needed Inquire reports.

Pour properties in IFC property set export

What has changed:

Previously, it was impossible to create property sets of "." type properties that report hierarchical pour information, that is, the "XXXXX property of the father pour unit".

If a property set with such type of properties was created (for example, ASSEMBLY.POUR_UNIT.NAME), the value (for example, NAME) would not be exported at all (it would appear blank). This has now been fixed.

What this means in practice, is that you can now report pour unit information in the IFC export property sets. So, if you have a property set already localized for CIP purposes, you can now add to it some examples that report pour unit or pour object father properties, for example from rebars, embeds, or formwork inside the pour units.

Some useful attributes:

POUR_UNIT.NAME - reports pour unit name from an assembly belonging to a pour unit (for example, a formwork panel, embed), and also, from a rebar belonging to a pour unit.

ASSEMBLY.POUR_UNIT.NAME - reports pour unit name, from a part belonging to a pour unit (for example, a formwork panel, embed).

If you add POUR_OBJECT.xxxxx after "...POUR_UNIT.", you can also report pour object properties.
