For end users: Start using a Tekla on-demand license

To start using a Tekla on-demand license, follow these steps.

To change the license server address without using the Tekla Structures user interface, see How to set a license server address without using the Tekla Structures user interface.

Depending on your Tekla Structures version, do one of the following:
- On the File menu, click Settings > Change license server.
- On the menu, click Tools > Change license server.
Append your Tekla on-demand server address to the end of the server list.

Separate the servers from each other with a semicolon (;). Your administrator provides the name of the license server.
Restart Tekla Structures so that these changes take effect.

You can now start Tekla Structures as usual. The on-demand license server automatically provides licenses when needed. If you have run out of perpetual and subscription licenses, you get a license from the on-demand license pool.

Note:

When you no longer need the on-demand license, you must stop using it by exiting Tekla Structures, which releases the license to be used by others.
