To get started with modeling in Tekla Structures:

• Get to know the basic tools that you will need to work efficiently in all models, see Get to know Tekla Structures basic working methods.

• Learn how to create and modify the basic objects and modeling aids, see Work with model objects in Tekla Structures.

• After creating some objects, you can change how they are shown, see Adjust how model objects are displayed.

When you are comfortable with the basic modeling tools:

• Get familiar with the tools that help you check objects in the model and keep it in good shape, see Check the model.

• Understand how you can control how the model is numbered, see Number the model.

To make your modeling efficient:

• Understand what applications are and how you can add more capabilities to Tekla Structures, see Applications.

• Get familiar with using components to quickly add connections, parts and details as explained in Components.

• You can also modify components or create new ones, see Custom components.
