You can restrict the possible primary and secondary locations to ensure that everyone uses the same location information.

1. Click the Maintenance ribbon tab.
2. On the menu, select Inventory > Location Restrictions.

   The Location Restrictions dialog opens.

3. To create a new location, click New.

   Any Location: When selected, the user can type any value into the location fields in Tekla PowerFab. This provides flexibility, but can lead to multiple variations of the same location, which may make it difficult to find the material.

   When unselected, forces the user to select one of the predefined locations.

   Any secondary Location: The user can type any secondary location that does not already exist. Has the same logic as Any Location.

   For example, you might want to allow any primary location but only some secondary locations. If you add a restriction and then add another line that allows any location, the restriction will not be effective.

4. Type the primary location in the Location box.
5. Type the secondary location in the Secondary Location box.
6. Click Add.
