Assemblies are commonly used bid items
that can contain multiple pieces with different shapes, labor codes, finishes, and other
properties, as well as accessories and parametric assemblies. By adding the assembly to your
estimating job, you can add all these pieces at once. We recommend that you add assemblies
at the end of the page in an estimating job.
Note that assemblies often begin with
a comment line that describes and labels the assembly. This makes it easier to
recognize assemblies.

the Estimating dialog box.

sub-category to the assembly, select the Set Sub-Category

the assembly allows you to easily identify and filter assemblies.

The Add
Assembly dialog box closes, and the assembly is added at the end of the item list in the
current estimating job.
