Improved Workflow for Simple Steel Connections

Save time with a more automated workflow. The enhanced Tekla Tedds Integrator enables seamless integration between Tekla Structures components for simple steel connections and the Tekla Tedds "Steel simple connection design (EN1993)" calculation.

This means Tekla Structures users can now link Tekla Tedds documents to their Tekla Structures model components, creating an improved workflow for simple steel connections. It’s also easier than ever to link your own calculations to the Tekla Structures model, creating more transparency and decreasing the need for manual transfer.

View Tekla Tedds calculations in Trimble Connect

Access structural-engineering documents directly from the 3D view in Trimble Connect. This enables a quicker and more intuitive way of interrogating the calculations associated with the model. BIM data can now be automatically transferred between Trimble Connect, Tekla Structural Designer (3D structural design model) and Tekla Tedds (structural design calculations).

When structural-engineering documentation is uploaded from Tekla Tedds to Trimble Connect, the documentation is now automatically attached to the appropriate object in the 3D model. This new automated workflow allows project stakeholders to view the documented structural calculations directly in the context of the BIM model.

Updated Retaining Wall Analysis & Design

The updated Tekla Tedds retaining wall analysis and design calculation checks the analysis and design of reinforced concrete or masonry retaining walls. The calculation has been updated for Eurocode, American and Australian codes.

New calculations for Steel Splices

New Eurocode calculations for steel splices have been added into the library. This includes steel beam splice design calculation, steel column splice design calculation, and steel hollow section splice calculation (tension only).

Enhanced Timber\Wood calculations

Enhancements have been made to the timber/wood calculations to improve the workflow between Tekla Tedds and Tekla Structural Designer. The calculation has been updated for Eurocode and American code.
