What is the best way for converting Tekla Structures model to Autodesk Inventor?
Answer:
Tekla Structures model cannot be exported to Autodesk Inventor directly. At the moment the Tekla STEP IGES converter is the only available free of charge tool for Tekla Structures users to get a STEP or IGES file of a model. There are some limitations: for instance the size of models/files will be rather big and that's causing problems with Mechanical CAD application like Autodesk Inventor too.
But basically it works fine for the standard situations and on top of those we recommend that users then consider dedicated tools to convert data, for instance:
