Server connection not available / Connection failure

Problem: When I launch Trimble Connect (for Windows) I get one or more of the following error messages:

Connection failed: Check proxy settings

How to resolve the issues?

 

Answer: Please make sure your company firewall allows Trimble Connect for Windows traffic to the following URLs at least:

 

app21.connect.trimble.com (Europe),

app31.connect.trimble.com (Asia),

*.tcstatus.tekla.com (Status Sharing, US/Europe/Asia),

*.tccategory.tekla.com (Categories, US/Europe/Asia)

 

We are increasingly moving towards a microservice architecture, so new service URLs may be added. Therefore, to be future-proof, please consider whitelisting the TC URLs with a wildcard e.g.

 

*.connect.trimble.com

or even

*.trimble.com

*.tekla.com.

 

Depending on the set of Trimble services/applications you use, the actual list of allowed URLs may vary.

 

You also need to make sure that these requirements for the Trimble Identity are fulfilled:

In some cases it has been necessary to add these AWS IP addresses to the firewall:

https://d7uri8nf7uskq.cloudfront.net/tools/list-cloudfront-ips
