2019i SP9: New features and improvements

Changes in sharing pour units

The default value of the advanced option XS_CALCULATE_POUR_UNITS_ON_SHARING has been changed to FALSE. This means that Tekla Structures no longer automatically calculates and updates the pour units in shared models during writing out and reading in. Instead, each user can now run the Calculate pour units command in their local version of the shared model when they need up-to-date pour unit information.

TTSD-42956

Pour objects follow neighbor part object level settings

Pour objects will now follow the neighbor part settings done in Object level settings for general arrangement drawing.

TTSD-41866

Texts in PDF reference models

TTSD-32135

New control for forcing IFC object category in IFC2x3 export

The IFC2X3 export does not export steel secondary objects as IfcDiscreteAccessory from now on. You can force previous categorization by setting the new advanced option XS_IFC2X3_EXPORT_SECONDARY_AS_DISCRETEACCESSORY to TRUE in an .ini file, for example, teklastructures.ini.

TTSD-5900

Export Unitechnik (79): New way to control exported reinforcement

There is a new way to control exported reinforcement: An external definition file can be used to overwrite type and designation information, which is usually determined automatically from model objects. You can specify the reinforcement definition file on the Reinforcement data tab. The definition file is a .csv file, with a fixed structure.

TSAC-5275

TTSD-42211

Improvements in concrete components

Beam reinforcement (63)

On the Parameters tab, you can now select to create side bars as rebar groups. Previously, all side bars were created as separate single bars.

TSAC-5168

Embedded anchors (8)

On the Placement tab, you can now select whether to detect braced girders in the whole assembly.

TSAC-5158

Oplossingen

Nummer defect Ontwikkelingsgebied Beschrijving
TSAC-2834 Concrete components Wall to wall connection: Previously, the partially open groove was not properly using the groove width property. This has now been fixed.
TSAC-4066 Concrete components

Wall layout T connector: Previously, the gap between the parts of the first layer was created twice the size of the value defined in the Free space option in the Wall layout T connector dialog box. This has now been fixed.

TSAC-5088 Concrete components Reinforced concrete stair (95): Anti-material created by the component is now always created in the correct position.

Rebar groups have the following three issues fixed:

  • Rebar group bars in a tapered rebar group with non-planar bar geometry were in some cases incorrectly offset from input points. This has now been fixed not to occur when creating new rebar groups. To get existing rebar group offsets fixed, you need to modify them.
  • Tapered rebar groups which have exact spacings as the creation method and spacings defined so that there are too many bars compared to the group length were incorrectly handled in mirroring. This has now been fixed.
  • The mirroring of tapered rebar groups containing non-parallel straight bars has now been fixed.
TTSD-40508 Reinforcement Rebar sets: All rebar set modifiers and splitters now adapt when a part is modified.

TTSD-17018, TTSD-42724 Modeling Previously, when a model contained bent plates but the bent plate geometry was missing, opening a model view or selecting a bent plate with missing geometry caused Tekla Structures to crash. This has now been fixed. You can now find the parts with missing geometry when diagnosing the database.
TTSD-35722 Modeling With lofted plates, when the curve length was smaller than the part height and the lofted plate was inquired, the height was reported twice and the length value was lost. This has now been fixed.

TTSD-41620 Modeling In some situations, Tekla Structures could crash when saving or autosaving the model. This has now been fixed.
TTSD-41718 Modeling Previously, plates and slabs could rotate or move unwantedly after you had made two or more consecutive edits to the plate, for example, by modifying the chamfer point values, and the plate had been on a different work plane than the global coordinate XY plane. This has now been fixed.
TTSD-42507 Modeling Now, when you select Objects by phases in Phase manager, the object handle points are not shown in the property pane anymore if the object and the handle points are in the same phase.

Construction points are still shown in the selection results in the property pane. This prevents the accidental movement of part reference points which could result in a corrupted model.
TTSD-42659 Modeling Previously, when you numbered parts that had been copied, the copied parts sometimes got a different number than the original part. This has now been fixed.

TTSD-41526 Tools and components Previously, the custom component editor mode could not be closed when saving the component failed because of missing plug-ins. This has now been fixed.
TTSD-43425 Tools and components Previously, there could be an error when you opened a new model while searching in the Applications & components catalog. This has now been fixed.
TTSD-38711 Numbering Previously, overlapping numbering series could result in two different assemblies receiving the same family numbering qualifier. Now the assemblies whose numbers would overlap are no longer numbered in family numbering.
SOLD-1584 User interface The Tekla Structures Sign in dialog box is now shown in the selected Tekla Structures language. Previously, it was shown in Simplified Chinese even if Traditional Chinese was selected as the Tekla Structures language.
TTSD-38333 User interface

TSAC-4473 Import, export, interoperability (concrete) Export ELiPLAN file (68): Weep holes at the start and at the end of the hollow core element are now always exported aligned in one line. Cuts smaller than 100 mm at the start and at the end are ignored, otherwise the weep holes are offset respectively to the cut size.
TSAC-5177 Import, export, interoperability (concrete) BVBS Export: For the Round options Up and Down, there is a new preliminary tolerance for small length differences up to 0.2 mm before performing the rounding. This ensures that values very close to exact increment are not rounded when it is not necessary.
