Delete inventory items

You can delete unnecessary material items from inventory. Deleting items is permanent and cannot be undone.

Note: Inventory items that are on a purchase order or that are placeholders with zero quantity cannot be modified or deleted. To remove a zero quantity item, the purchase order item must be finalized.

You can still view the deleted items in the transaction history. For more information, see View the transaction history in the Inventory module.

In the Inventory dialog, click the items that you want to delete.

To select multiple items, hold down Ctrl.
To select a range of subsequent items, hold down Shift.
Click Delete.
To permanently delete the inventory item, click Yes in the confirmation dialog.
