eLearning First steps with Tekla Structures

This course is designed to guide new users through the essential basic-level tasks in Tekla Structures. The tutorials use the metric system and Default environment. This course is available in multiple languages. To switch to an available language, start the course and use the globe icon located in the top right corner of the lesson player.

You will learn to create a new project, navigate the software, build a simple 3D structural model by adding footings, columns, beams, steel connections, generate general arrangement drawings, create a basic report, and export an IFC file. The course consists of an introduction, six modules, and a test. The course focuses on a practical, workflow-driven approach, introducing only the necessary user interface components relevant to the hands-on exercises, rather than a comprehensive exploration of all Tekla Structures features. Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive a digital badge.

You will learn how to use Tekla Structures to:

1. Create a Tekla Structures project, configure basic settings, and manage file operations (open, save, export).

2. Build and navigate in a simple 3D structural model by adding footings, columns, and beams, using selection switches and filters, copying objects and modifying their properties.

3. Add connections.

4. Create a general arrangement drawing, modify it, and preview and print it.

5. Create a basic report.

6. Export an IFC file.
