Create a Passkey
To enable MFA and configure the use of passkeys for your TID sign-ins, start by navigating to https://myprofile.trimble.com and sign in with your TID.  Under Multi-Factor Authentication, click the Passkey > Set Up link.

You will be prompted first to enter the password for your TID account.

The next dialog includes some basic information on the use of passkeys.  Click on Create a passkey to continue.

On Apple devices the iCloud Keychain must be enabled - follow the prompts to proceed.

Use Face ID or Touch ID to complete the passkey setup. If you didn’t set up Face ID or Touch ID on your iPhone, enter your device passcode (the code you use to unlock your iPhone/iPad).  The passkey will be stored in your iCloud Keychain and will be available from any other devices that are using the same Apple ID.

Your Trimble Identity profile now shows that Multi-Factor Authentication is enabled with Passkey set as the default method.

Sign in with Passkey
The next time you sign in with your Trimble Identity, click the Use a passkey button instead of entering your username/password.

Your device will detect that you have a passkey for this site.  Use your Face ID, Touch ID, or device passcode to use the passkey and proceed with signing into your Trimble Identity.

Secondary MFA Method
It is recommended that you set up an alternate MFA method in case the devices containing your passkey are not available.  Click the Secondary Email > Set Up link to proceed.

Use your passkey to confirm your authentication for setting up a secondary email address.

Enter the secondary email address to use - this must be different from the primary email address used for your Trimble Identity.

A verification code will be sent to the secondary email address entered.  Submit the code to complete the process.

Sign in with Secondary MFA Method
If you need to sign into your Trimble Identity and do not have access to your passkey then click the Try another way link, click on the Secondary Email option, and a code will be sent to that email address that you can use to sign in.

Sign In on a Different Device with Passkey
If you have access to the device with the passkey and wish to use it to sign in on a different device or computer that does not have a saved passkey, such as signing in to PowerFab Office, click on Use a passkey to begin.

When prompted, select that your passkey is on an iPhone, iPad, or Android device.

A QR code will be displayed.  Use the camera on the device that has the passkey to scan the QR code.

On the device, when the camera has the QR code in view a Sign in with a passkey option will appear.  Tap on that option - there is no need to take a picture of the QR code.  Use your Face ID, Touch ID, or device passcode to use the passkey and complete the sign in process.
