Numbering commands missing or grayed out in ribbon

Users have reported that numbering commands may appear grayed out or are entirely missing from the ribbon and Quick Launch. This issue has been observed specifically in Tekla Structures 2025 when working within shared models.

Symptoms

• Numbering commands are inactive (grayed out) in the ribbon
• The command names do not appear when using Quick Launch
• The issue is random and does not affect all users in the same company or model
• The problem persists even if the ribbon is not customized or if certain extensions are uninstalled

Potential causes

• Model Sharing: The issue is currently only reported in models using Tekla Model Sharing.
• Third-Party software: Some reports suggest a potential conflict with Qnect software, as numbering sometimes works before its installation.

Workaround

Based on the user report, if you are experiencing missing numbering commands while using both Tekla Structures 2025 and Qnect, please follow this workaround for disabling the Qnect Listener:

1. Access Qnect settings: Go to button 3 within the Qnect interface
2. Locate the option to turn off the listener and disable it
3. Close and restart Tekla Structures
4. Once restarted with the listener off, the numbering options should reappear in the menu
