Users may encounter an "Installation error" message when attempting to install extensions from warehouse.tekla.com through the Tekla Online pane. This issue is related to the installation of Tekla Structures older version (for example 2018i) after newer versions, which can lead to conflicts with the Tekla Warehouse Service. 

When installing Tekla Structures 2018i after a newer version, both the old Tekla Warehouse Service (33.0.0.0) and the new version (2.0.57) may be installed simultaneously. This can cause errors when trying to install warehouse items directly from the Tekla Online panel. Uninstalling the old service is not enough to solve the problem.

Resolution:

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

  1. Uninstall both versions of the Tekla Warehouse Service from the Windows Settings > Apps > Installed Apps.
  2. Reinstall the newer version of Tekla Structures, which will install the latest Tekla Warehouse Service.
  3. Retry accessing warehouse.tekla.com to install extensions.
