Answer:

The Indian steel construction industry utilizes a wide range of fasteners governed by specific Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) codes. Since Tekla Structures is a global, open-solution platform, it is designed to be highly customizable, allowing users (especially in the India Environment) to implement the specific standards required for their projects.

In Indian steel detailing projects, fasteners are broadly categorized based on their application and strength. Tekla Structures does not pre-load a fixed, mandatory catalog of all national standards for the reason that Bolt standards evolve, and project requirements vary.
