Custom component editor toolbar is missing
Question:
The Custom component editor toolbar is not visible after command Edit Custom Component. How can we get the toolbar back?
Answer:
The toolbar can sometimes get lost, especially when using multiple screens. The default location of the toolbar can be reset in Windows Registry Editor.
NOTE: Be careful when editing the registry. Make sure to export a backup of the registry before touching anything. If you are unfamiliar with editing the registry please get your IT/IS department to perform the steps below.
1. Close Tekla Structures if it is running
2. Open Windows Registry Editor (press Windows key on your keyboard and type "regedit"). Run in administrator mode.
3. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Trimble\Tekla Structures\<version>\Toolbars\xs_library_connection_toolbar
4. Change the values of X and Y to zero by double clicking to open Edit DWORD (32-bit) Value dialog.
5. Click OK and the values will be saved. When you open Tekla Structures the next time the Custom component editor toolbar will be on the upper left corner of your main screen.
