For the interoperability between Navisworks and Tekla Structures, files are exported from Tekla Structures to Navisworks and the available formats in the order of importance are IFC, DWG, DXF, and IGES.
To get the reinforcing bars visible in Navisworks & Revit:
- Use the IFC export in Tekla Structures (File > Export > IFC).
- On the Parameters tab, select Surface geometry as the export type (format for viewing and clash checking).
- On the Advanced tab, select Reinforcing bars.

To view the log file after the export, select View Log File. In the log file, you can see the number of rebar groups exported with the IFC file.
