How to create a two-column template?

- Calculate the double column template output width and increase the page width before modifying the column settings.
Template width = Row width X Number of columns
Example: Template width = 44 x 2 = 88

- Add the rows and define the row properties as required [Example: - “ASSEMBLY” or “PART” etc..]
- Open the row properties and select Use Columns, then click Edit to open the common settings of the column.
- Set the Max. count of the column. [Example: - “2”]
- Set the Fill direction as Vertical and click OK. [Vertical: fills the columns first down, then to the right]
- Subsequently, follow the same procedure for all the other required row properties.

Since Tekla Structures version 2017i, you have been able to fill the template:
- from left to right or
- from right to left or
- from top to bottom or
- from bottom to top

Since Tekla Structures version 2018, Template Editor header and footer rows have had the option Use columns:
