Stiffened notch (1006)

Stiffened notch (1006) creates a notch and a stiffener plate from the position you pick on a beam to the beam end.

	Notch created to a beam.

Select a beam.

You can select multiple beams using area selection.
Pick a position on the beam.

The notch is created automatically when you pick the position.

1	Stiffener

Use the Picture tab to control the geometry of the detail.


	Description
1	Stiffener position from the notch edge.
2	Stiffener position from the beam top. By default, this dimension is `100 mm`.
3	Stiffener offset from the beam end.
4	Radius of the notch cut

Use the Parts tab to define the part properties.


Option	Description
Stiffener	Thickness and width of the stiffener.


Option	Description	Default
Pos_No	Prefix and start number for the part position number. Some components have a second row of fields where you can enter the assembly position number.	The default part start number is defined in the Components settings in File menu > Settings > Options.
Material	Material grade.	The default material is defined in the Part material box in the Components settings in File menu > Settings > Options.
Name	Name that is shown in drawings and reports.
Finish	Describes how the part surface has been treated.

Define a tolerance value for the cut.
