You can view the project summary
report of project management jobs that are linked to one or more of the following
modules: Production Control, Advance
Bill, Estimating, and Purchasing.
By creating the project summary,
you can do the following:
- Compare the materials used in Production Control with the estimated materials and the prepurchased materials in Advance
Bill
- View the total values for purchased materials, materials moved from other
jobs, and materials moved to scrap
- View the current production status: See which materials are listed on a
purchase order and have not yet been received, which materials are in stock
but have not been processed, and which have been charged to the job and
taken from stock

In the Project
Management module, double-click a job to open it.

In the upper-right corner of
the Project
Management dialog, click Project
Summary.
The Report
Selection dialog opens.

Select the report that you want to view,
print, or export.
The Full
Project Summary report provides a snapshot of the current status of the project and
the module components that are currently linked to each other.
- Shape Summary: Compares estimated vs. actual material
- Estimating, Advance
Bill, Production Control columns: Show the quantity of pieces together with the total
material weight for each shape used in the job. This information
helps you to track materials by shape.
- On
Order: The materials are on a purchase order.
- In Stock: The materials have been
received.
- Charge: The materials have been taken
from stock, that is, they have been cut and are in the
fabrication process.
- Purchase Order Summary: Lists all the
purchase orders associated with the project management job and
their statuses
- Inventory Transfer Summary: Shows materials
transferred from a different job into the current project management
job including general stock
- TFS
Details: Summarizes consumed material and material returned to stock
- Production/Shipping Status: The fabrication
progress and shipping status of each sequence. Shows the quantity of
pieces that have been processed. The items are sorted by the route
assigned in Production Control. The production and shipping status information is automatically
updated when changes are made.
The project summary
reports also have reports for all the breakdown areas, but these reports
are not displayed by default. To customize the displayed reports, click
Edit
Report Types in the Report

Print the report |
- Change the number of the printed copies by clicking
the plus (+) and minus
(-) buttons.
- Click Print.
The Select
Printer dialog opens.
- Click a printer to select it.
- Click OK.

Export the report |
- Click Export
The Export
Options dialog opens.
- In the Export
Format list, select an export format.
- To select the location where you want to save the
exported file, click Browse.
- Browse to the location where you want to save the
exported file, and click Save.
You can modify the file name as needed.
- To attach the exported file to a Microsoft
Outlook email and send it to a recipient, select the
Attach to
Email checkbox.
- To open the file after exporting it, select the
Open Exported Document checkbox.
- To export the file, click Export.
